About ARBA PDF Print E-mail

The Amateur Rose Breeders Association was formed on 27 June 1975 at a meeting held at the Royal Horticultural Society Halls, Westminster on the occasion of the Royal National Rose Society's Summer Show.

Fourteen people attended the founders meeting travelling from places as far apart as Devon, Norfolk, Northumberland and the East Midlands. A fledgling committee was elected, including our current Vice President Chris Warner and our ever present Secretary, Derrick Everitt.

Over the years since ARBA was founded, membership has grown to over 100, including many overseas members, who enjoy the benefits of learning and sharing their experiences with each other.
